Anyone do an undertail mod to get rid of that God-awful stock undertail? If so, what did you do and do you have some photos?

    Thanks!

    Yep, got rid of mine.

Not as small as the one mentioned by Big3 ... but hey it's free!

If you remove the whole plastic tail you'll find there's a metal sub tail underneath.
You just need to use a few spacers to replace the thickness of the plastic, and plug the holes under the seat where the forward bolts of the tail went . (to keep water out of the under seat area).
The license plate light even has an extra rear outlet for the wire. (keeps things neat)

I did exactly what Jabba did!! Works out rather nice I think. Plus where I'm from the aftermarket kits wouldn't work since KY's plates are too wide to fit between the pipes. Thank Honda for that bracket. They could have went cheap and just left it all plastic!

If your plate will fit between the pipes you can take some L bracket stock and drill a couple of holes in it and mount it right under the tail light. You lose the light for the plate but it really cleans up the back of the bike.
