Is it completely insane to carry a pushbike on a VFR?? It only weighs 10kg, and is not much over 1metre long with wheels off. I was thinking of a piece of steel/alloy channel bolted to the luggage rack with the bicycle forks clamping in same as for a car roof rack. Should be minimal side/cornering forces thanks to lean of the bike. I think 0.5metre hanging out the back is not a problem and should still be in the slipstream....better than that other system I've seen that mounts on the side, like a pannier. This is the main nagging question stopping me from getting another bike, instead of a POS car. Anyone tried it, seen it??
