I've just picked up a good, used replacement oil cooler and lines, (as mine are shot), and now another has turned up from a Japanese police bike with the extra row of fins on the cooler. I read a thread on here from someone on the West Coast whos bike was over-heating and he mentions one of these 3-row coolers but then goes on to fix his problem by aligning his rad cowling and blocking off potential leaks with tape. Now I'm wondering if this oil cooler is a worthwhile mod or whether to stick with the stock two-row one I've got. 'Anyone on here tried one? My bike, (5th Gen), does get hot in town in he Summer, it's never over-heated but I'm thinking if the police in Japan found it worthwhile, maybe I would? What's the general consensus? TIA, Drew.
In England the call a few days of 24°C a heat wave. Here we ride at 46°C in summer. If I found one at a good price I would do it in a heart beat.
