Attempting a valve lash adjustment on my '84 VF700F and ran into a speed bump of sorts.
I have the shop manual but I think I'm missing something. My issue is that I'm unable to get the rear valve cover off. The front is not a problem but I can't see a way to pull the rear. Do I have to drop the engine a little or is there some trick to it?
    Thank you,
    Gator

There is a trick. It's a twist/angle/lift that clears the frame on one side and the cam caps on the other.

It is very hard to describe and usually takes me a couple tries even though I'm know exactly what I'm trying to do.

Just know it IS possible. Unless you got someone's custom build with a 1000 engine swapped in.
