    Hello,

Straight to the point: as soon as I use my horn, both indicators on the dashboard light up slightly, you can see it in the dark, can't see during the day.

    Anyone had this before?

    ^+1 on the above.
It will deffinetly be a bad earth block.
It also sometimes makes the FI light glow with the blinkers.

Posted in the 5G section so I'm guessing.....

The earth block is an approx 1" long rectangle taped into the main loom on the right side, below the seat. The block is fully covered in tape IIRC so you may need to feel to find it.

Unfortunately this still happens. All earth connections are good. I heard that when you swap for LED dashboard lights, also I have LED tail lights. One of mechanics told me that he experienced that with cars, when he swapped for LED lights or dashboard bulbs it happened to him too... One day, when i have time , I will swap dashboards lights for old bulbs and check again. Thanks for all help!

    That won't be the problem.
Did you open up the earth block?
The top opens and a copper multi point joiner connects all the earths together.
I can nearly guarantee that is the problem.
Most people remove it and solder all the wires together.
Best way to fix it and makes sure there is no future problems.

I did not open the block, just looked if anything is loose, also there was no taped over block, unless I was looking at something else. It was on the right hand side near the tail frame towards tail light(correct position?). However, I quickly disconnect my LED tail light and problem disappeared. Strange:(.

    Strange indeed.
The block is next to the Regulator rectifier, and should be orange in colour. d5b8b291fa019be568ee0820aaf9f821.jpg 00308feed2545ec6c958a9e730d4cf01.jpg

Hi. It has been a while but I managed to get some time and get to earth block. I opened it up, and it was in pretty good condition. Still, took it apart, cleaned with fine file, contact cleaner and put it back together. I still have the same problem. Where else should I look to solve this problem?

I disconnected front and rear indicators today and pressed horn. Just left indicator on dashboard lights up. Now I am suspecting horn itself. I connected all indicators and disconnected horn. Pressed and nothing. I will connect some 12 V bulb tomorrow instead of horn and see..Maybe it is horn..

A suggestion for you --- put a relay to the horn circuit and that gets it off any conflict on the harness. - Just a SWAG...

My opinion is still a bad earth.
The problem using a bulb instaed of the horn is that the load will be much lower, so earth problem won't repeat.
Bulbs coming on with the wrong switch is a definite pointer to bad earths.

I was thinking that, so I connected 12 V motor to it and pressed horn, held it and lights didn't come up. The same with bulb, lights didn't come up. I am going to take horn out with the bracket, clean off any dirt and put it back together. If this doesn't work then I will buy cheap horn and test that way. I appreciate all help guys and good ideas!

Btw my earth block is healthy, cleaned, shinny etc. So if this is earth problem it has to be somewhere else :/
