    Hey -

I have noticed a distinct increase in the number of spam messages showing up on the "VF / VFR Mailing List" forums, and it is a little annoying.

In addition, I sometimes feel that I could contribute something to a thread in that VF/VFR Mailing List, but can't post anything to it. Since I don't want to join a mailing list (as is probably the majority opinion of the people on here I assume), is there a way to separate it or prevent it from showing up on the "new threads" listings?

    Thoughts?

I would suggest blocking all the post from the mailing list. To me, it's just a waste of space anyway. I doubt anyone would miss it at all.

The mailing list thread is just an archive. You have to actually go and join the mailing list. go here, VF/VFR mailing list and follow the instructions on how to subscribe. You can choose to receive individual posts or a digest version (less e-mail coming to the Inbox) and then reply to the subjects or list at your leisure.
