I am building a custom chopper and today I was tuning and synching the carbs.
I found out the Motion Pro 90º bevel screwdriver works well but you have to put a 1/4 socket on it NOT a screwdriver bit.
The synching of the carbs with the Motion Pro sync tool works well. I would re write the instructions though.
On the VF1000 type carbs the # 4 carb is the master carb. That is the one you calibrate the instrument to.

Also I had #38 idle jets and I have aftermarket exhausts and a foam air filter element so I put in #40 idle jets and it starts much easier and has excellent throttle ressponse and no popping on decel or acceleration.

So the main information is try a set of #40 idle jets instead of the #38's with after market exhausts.
