Ok, so if Honda were to finally come out with a new VFR 1000; sporty, or touring minded, what would you do with your current VFR???

    Trade it in
    Sell it
    Keep it
    Other

I'm keeping my 4th Gen no matter what. I have put too much time and $$$ into her to let her go. For me there's nothing wrong with having multiple bikes, but I'm curious to see what you would do...

Keep it. I already have a gen.2 & gen.6 and I'm currently in the market for a gen.3 or 4. The only generation that I would never consider putting in my garage is that P.O.S 5th generation.:bowl: :peep:

Keep it...I just bought an 07 VFR. This bike rocks and I've never been convinced that "improvements" on designs are a good thing. Usually some of the old character is lost in the process.

The only way anyone is getting the key to my VFR is out of my cold dead hand!!!
Wouldn't mind having a "08 CBR1000rr sitting next to it though...

I have a problem where I acquire things, but don't turn over what I've already got. Therefore, I'd say keep it. There's always room for one (or more) Interceptors.

If the VFR 1000 is a sporty version, 475 or under wet weight and keeps the same egro's I'd sell my 5g and be one bike garage, but most likely what will happen for me is I'll keep my 5g and buy a pure canyon carver for my second bike for the local twistys in 2009...

    I voted "other"

I'd have to ride it, compare it to the Connie 14 (my most probable upgrade)

Depending on the sportyness of the mythical VFR 1000 I would definitely keep my current 4th Gen, and possibly turn theVFR 1000 into a track bike. Why not track build my 4th Gen, too spendy and heavy. Plastics (stock) are spendy, and the bike is rather weighty. It would take alot of time and $$$ to bring it up to current 600 bike specs so I don't feel that it would be worth it. Although I'm slowly doing that anyway. Now if it were a 990cc V-5, oh I'd definitely track it!!!!!!!

Thats what the Honda rep asked me and I said I would trade it if I got a good value.... BUT, he already said its not getting any sportier so its tough to say. I'd like to keep my 2007 and get a Ducati 848 for the aggressive stuff. No need getting a heavier bike with more cc's and higher insurance if mine works just fine.
