I appreciate those that tried to help me solve the gremlin in my bikehere in Tucson, AZ, but I don't the time or proper tools or money to buy parts to see IF I can solve it (it just shuts off while driving). I need to sell to have a bike I can rely on for rides way out in the desert and across the country. I am selling my 6th gen VFR800 interceptor abs 2003. It has a salvage title after getting stolen after I had it maybe a week. It was redone again after a slow speed accident a few years later, mostly cosmetic stuff. It has then a salvage title. Thus why I cannot spend a lot to try to fix it. Had it to the Honda dealership twice here and they cannot figure it out and I can't spend more on a bike only worth on paper $2,000. It is however is awesome shape and would be a great parts bike or you can use your current bike for parts to make this one hum. $2,000.00. Includes travel bags.

Thanks! I think there are very few members from here on my map area actually, so this is fishing in a small pond. Also put it on Craigslist, so the scammers will bite soon. ugh. I really wish I was up to fixing it myself, but even with the manual, there are tools I just don't have and can't justify buying to try to do it. sucks. It was an anniversary gift from my hubby and now Honda is already talking about it being old. Then when I went to pick it up, there in the lot was a 1979 750 classic and I was like...wha?!

    Christine,

I'm from your neck of the cactus. I recommend that you give Evan and Phil at Evan Steel Performance a call and talk to them before you sell your moto, if you really do want to keep it. They are good people, straight shooters, and very experienced.

I have sold it. It went to a good home, an enthusiast who will fix and ride it in north AZ.
