my local dealer had their red '07 still when I was there on Tuesday. They said they almost had it sold on Saturday but the guy didn't like the interest rate and wanted to shop the rate around. They wouldn't tell me how much but they said theirs was the ABS model and that option adds about $800.

According to Cycle World Jan. 2010 issue, Honda just lowered the sell price on all 2007 VFR's to $6999. NEW!! Nice sidebar on the 6 gen. in this issue! The cover has the 2010 VFR 1200 on it!

You should be able to get them lower than that but they will push that $6999 for a while!

I got mine from the dealer 3 months ago for 7299.00 add tax and title about 500.00
I love mine. Get the GAP insurance if you finance. And watch out some dealer’s keep the rear seat cover and say they don't have it (IT IS INCLUDED) the cost is about 300.00 if you forget. (They will re-sell it)
Good luck i think you are getting a good deal but search this sites classifieds. They have some 6th gen for sale.

That explaines "the article" my dealer sales guy mentioned. He just said "this one's different than the article because it has the ABS" and I didn't question what "article" he was refering to.

I got a leftover 2008 with ABS for $6683 (+$99 dealer fee and TTL) just before Thanksgiving from Southern Honda Powersports: Unbeatable. . It was the last one but I notice that they keep finding more. They update their web page on Mondays.

I bought a RWB 07 Anniversary with ABS from Southern Powersports on Saturday (11-28-09) for $6683 plus TTL and $99 admin fee. Came out to somewhere around $7300 out the door.

There was one 07 RWB Anniversary base model, and 2 08 silver base models left when I rode out the door.

    Hey all,

I actually talked to a guy at southernhonda yesterday because somebody else had told me to check there...sure enough, he said he had an 08 (silver) with ABS that they would sell for the same 6683 plus 99 doc fee plus tax... as mentioned above. They were out of the 07 RWB ABS but would sell the standard 07 RWB for the same. I asked if he would throw the bags in since no ABS for same price, but said he couldn't. Sounds like a really strong offer. I am having second thoughts just because of money being tight...so I may have to pass. Sucks to find such a great price and have to say no thanks. FYI, he quoted me the usual price for the bags...no discount at all. Almost 1100 for the bags and 250 for install. Wow, crazy. Seemed like a real nice guy tho. Said he has an 07 RWB and loves his...was even telling me about his upgrades. Two Bros, Heli...etc

Sounds like you talked to Mike Vaughn. He sold me mine. He seems to be nice enough, and definately loves his VFR.

Yep, it was Mike. Nice guy. Its hard to believe such a good price. I really appreciate dealing with places that don't nickel and dime you to death. $99 for fees is very reasonable I think. They must be getting them for a song from Honda...6683 is pretty close to half the original MSRP.

Doesn't look like I'm going to be able to part with the $ at the moment tho.

    Thanks for the reply Str8away.

That price is pretty accurate as far as leftovers. $6999/fees/tax was the lowest I could find before I bought mine barely used. Obviously other dealers in other areas of the country may be different.

I bought the extended warranty after the one year was almost up. Mainly because I had two pieces of plastic crack on me that was coverend under warranty. Came out about the same if I would of bought them (not under warranty) or got the extended warranty.

To my knowledge, Honda offers 4 years of extended HPP, for a total of 5 years from date of purchase, not 7. If there's a way to get more I need to get on it because my EHPP is up Feb 5th...
