    Heyoo Good Peeps,

There's been a hot minute since I've been around and Facebook pages make for quick work of posting, so you may have seen me on that side.

    20181022_180151.jpg

But things are slowing despite new school, new grade, new side job, successful college go, and almost empty nester for me...so I can do more showing up.

    There's been some moto happenings.

Passion and determination drove me to strip down moto some when it needed a "recharge": stator, R/R, fork oil, oil change, deep clean.

    20181022_180336.jpg

Was successful with that a few months ago. Took a while since I did it by myself while wrapping up my last school year in Kindergarten and packing up that classroom for the move.

Some Colorady runs proved success, but the summer didn't lend time to long rides this year.

    FB_IMG_1540250389947.jpg

Took some Texans around Colorado and up both Pike's Peak and my love: Mount Evans

    FB_IMG_1540249780556.jpg

Some Colorady runs were for other shenanigans. Like to climb the 2nd highest mountain in the lower 48 states: Elbert

Climbed it alone in June as a personal celebration of an amazing event.

    FB_IMG_1540249883924.jpg

Some runs this summer with a good friend who has a good wife that lets him out.

    20181022_180530.jpg

Had some fun solo Kansas exploring.

    FB_IMG_1540249797380.jpg

I've tinkered with moto here and there over the summer: seat latch busted, tires, volt meter, the likes.

Have a list of must do stuffs before my next long ride coming soon to a summer near you:

Plugs, CCTs, brake pads, headlamp harness, chain and sprockets, air filter, fluid changes, etc.

Approaching 60,000 miles soon... ... around 55,000 miles in those 3 years we've been together this month... it's time and moto is deserving of the treatment.

Happy 3 Year Motoversary to us!

    20181017_085837.jpg

Will have to be mindful to keep up here since I've been so busy and out of habit.

What all have you been up to?

    Any big rides?

    Moto news?

    Motoversaries?

I have a big ride being planned. Execution date unknown...much more planning is needed. But until then, will be fun to catch up and see your shenanigans and all the new peeps here.

Lost a few toenails from summer shenanigans, had a car wreck for first time in 20 years, fell out of my shoe and hurt my foot, but...

All the motos, all the smiles, keeping the chin up, dreaming of my next...

    20181022_180710.jpg

Hope you are having and fulfilling some of your own dreams.

    Loves and smiles! AM

It is so refreshing to hear from you again A.M. I was getting worried that job/ home/ whatever change after the school year had forced you to abandon the VFR to a point. Thanks for the update. BTW how do you fall out of your shoes? That sounds like something that you could only learn how to do from a 5 year old.

I broke and arm in Boot Camp falling off my shoes. They were those platform disco shoes which were the style when in boot camp. Kinda gives away my ancient age.

Good to hear from you AM. Good job on the repairs to your bike. You have more skills that way that I do. At least more drive and perseverance to tackle the job.

Anne Marie - Wow - it is great to hear all is well with you - you sort of disappeared.

As you can see, this side of the pond, snow is already building up on the mountain passes and winter is fast approaching. It was minus 4 over night here. So after a long very cold ride across Switzerland to storm up the Furka Pass and then the Grimsel Pass last weekend my VFR finally went into hibernation. For now I am still riding a street triple for local trips, but with more and more patches of ice forming overnight, the roads are getting very unpredictable in the morning - so it too will be taking a nap very soon.

    Take care - Keep Smiling.

Those pix make me all excited if you get my drift. I would really love to get over to Europe for a ride but I think I left this too late. I have too many other bucket list things to do before I become compost.

Good to hear from you as well, like all have said. It would be great if you could make it down to Utah again in 2019 to meet up with me and anyone. Colorado again is a possibility. Take Care.

Never say never - Just find 10 hours to spare for a flight over here from Vancouver. Then I am sure between Diving Pete (London) or me (Geneva) we can find a place for you to stay and even round up a VFR (or 6) for you to explore on. Just wait until it gets warm - June onwards is usually the best.

Meantime have fun and keep the three amigos updates coming. :Pop2:

I definitely have felt like I had abandoned my passion for a while, since I really didnt get a way for a few thousand miles and weeks in a row this summer. But I was thankful for small getaways.

I've sure missed being around here too and looking forward to catch up here.

Sooo... after years and years of teaching 5 year olds, I sure have learned a lot about falling all over in shoes and on untied shoelaces. LOL But, I just tripped out of my hustlin' shoes walking in to work with my hands full... something not learned by 5 years olds

Randy... pics? I've never seen these styles. Plus, I've never seen you in them ;)

Definitely have the drive to keep my moto up...hopefully I can keep being successful with repairs. Passion will do that I suppose...give the drive.

So sad the last ride of the season, yet so lucky you ride where you do...

How long will they be in hibernation? I assume you have to really winterize the motos?

Yeee, I been in hibernation of a different sorts... so busy crazy like in my post. Not having a huge long ride to feed my soul also really threw me off.

Little rides, staring at moto, little repairs and the like are amazing, but I feel like I didn't really have the quality time on moto, on the road, and in the tent.

I may be addicted... or it's just I know my passions.

Ahh, thank you! Think moto does feel better than ever. Made 59 today!

    20181027_210322.jpg
Still being badasses over here full of shenanigans...this was from today before moto hit 59,000 miles.

    20181027_133754.jpg
And I'm still the dork. Miss seeing friends in person. Being stuck in the middle of nowhere missing peeps gets me at times as much as missing the road. :(

Ahhh, super cute! I've come across many of those. Not sure of the blacktail variety, but we have huge towns of these guys all over.

Maybe I need one for my emotional support while here in the Kansas still killing me slowly. Does yours have a name?
