I know these bikes run hot but im just wondering does 220 F effect longevity of these engines at all? I live in missouri and the summers are very hot and humid. The other day I was cruising and running 210. It was 91 F and humid. In town it went right up to 220 and the fan kicked on.

Sounds normal... in town you're not getting the airflow, so the fan kicks on. The thermostat is regulating the temperature, no harm is being done.

Thats the problem with a digital temp gauge; the numbers look scary. In the olde days we made do with a conventional gauge and never worried unless it pointed to the red bit.

Love having actual numbers compared to a needle in a car, or god forbid a dummy blue coolant light the newer econoboxes have
