I'm a Sr. Software Architect / Engineer for a medical device company. If it wasn't for this, I wouldn't be able to feed my passion for motorcycling, dirt biking and snowmobiling. Luckily, the role I'm in, is protected from being outsourced as I deal with design and implementation of new product.

I'm a service engineer for a company that builds analytical Xray instruments. Our instruments are used in research and production laboratories for sub-atomic elemental analysis. I don't fully understand them, but I fix them anyway! Interesting stuff.

Currently, I'm an electrical designer/drafter for a company that makes "stabilized platforms" for long distance/high altitude videography, i.e. taking videos from airplanes. Kinda one of those jobs you fall into unexpectedly...

I manage a Semi-Trailer repair shop. I get to pull the trailers into the shop after they have been rolled off the side of a mountain. We also own 200 rental trailers. 15 years ago, I was an Army Drill Sgt. MOS-11B Light Weapons Infantry. Also spent a little time jumping out of perfectly good airplanes.

No, unfortunately I don't think anyone in our current government is smart enough or farsighted enough to be interested in anything but "Oal" and "Nucular Energy". Funny thing is, come any election, the company is polluted with politicians trying to look green.
