    Rick,
I have now quit smoking, and am resolving to become one with my bike as much as I can in the new year!! I am going to plan some lengthy trips in 07, as well as get out and meet more of our VFR Brethren.

Hope everyones has a safe and happy holiday season:biggrin:

First, lose a 100 lbs or so
Second being two fold, figure out how to be a better husband to my second wife w/o it negatively affecting my relationship w/ my kids which has always been good. But she tends to be jealous of the time I "make" for them. Or get divorced again & stay that way.
Third, Teach my 12 y/o son to enjoy hunting & the outdoors as much as I do.
Forth, more non-commuting time on the bike w/ the boys(that ought to make the second one easier to acheive:rolleyes: )
Giving up smoking completely should be in here somewhere to, but I'm down to under a 1/2 a pack a week now so we'll see.

I need to try like hell to quit chewing tobacco. Same resolution last year, made it till about March. On the plus side, I'm at one can a week these days. Maybe my resolution should be to first have better self discipline.

almost never make them myself. I do set goals for myself, but they are set and met and changed independently of the new year, usually.

I want to lose about 10 lbs. I'm actually at a good weight, it's just that it's in the form of fat, centered around my middle. If I can get rid of that, I'll be happy!!! KC-10 FE, if you find the "ARMY" you're looking for, and need a wingman, let me know. I'll be more than happy to lend a hand.....

This year I would like to improve in the corners but living in Florida doesn't help much. I would like to loose at least 60 to 70 lbs. but I'll settle fot 20 or 30. Being 5'7" and a 295 lbs. powerlifter doesn't help either. I need to plan more family activities and help out more around the house. And also try to meet any of the VFR crowd starting in my area first.

When I lived in Florida, this was one of the places I went to go to get some relief -

Fantastic motorcycle - only track. Enough straightaway to get my blood pumping with the speed, enough curves to show me why my nickname isn't "The Doctor". :third:

I am not a bug New Years Resolution type. If I want to do or acheive something I just do it. If I don't really want to do something I find a resolution doesn't help me much. Maybe I'm weak...

you know that bike consumes a lot of my thoughts as well. I need to get a close up look at her. the wife has given me the go-ahead if I want it. I just have a hard time committing to spending that kind of money, but DAMN, that bike is tempting... I want to see if I fit in the saddle...

I don't generally make resolutions myself, but I think this year one will be to become re-employed and to enjoy this nice FL weather (oh wait, I am enjoying it now not next year, oh well, so I started early )

No resolution here, I don't think I would follow through anyway.

Thanks for sharing guys, I think most of are resolutions or goals are pretty much the same five, I'm also a goal person, as you can tell from starting my desired weight lose during the holidays, But the hard part is diffently done and it's all down hill after Christmas

Age has diffently mellowed me out and every year I think I'm a little better of person and hope that trait continues. Every year I look back and think if I have any regrets, 2006 I only have one, and one is what I did to that gangbanger from Stranger on a Bike thread, Stupid actions on my part!!!

2007 my goal is to have no regrets, that includes life in general and the Internet...

    Have a great holiday season
    Rick

Thanks for the heads up on Jennings. I may ride up there to check it out. I'll try to get up there and hit a track day as soon as the 07' schedule is available.
