Just looked around for a few pieces and I'm disappointed to see they are out of stock everywhere. Yes I know, you can find them on eBay, but it does seem odd to discontinue given these are only 10 years old.

Just looked on Partzilla.com and found they are not discontinued items but ship in 1-2 days. I find it hard to believe that fairing parts would be discontinued on a bike that wasn't discontinued until 2020 in the rest of the world.

It's weird, the OEM parts dealers I checked all say "not in stock" for most everything but fasteners.

Good question - The first 8th Gens are already 10 years old so perhaps now is the time to plan ahead.

Officially vehicle suppliers in the USA are required to have spare parts available for 10 years which is the same as vehicles sold in the UK. As part of their right to repair drive the EU increased this requirement to a minimum of 15 years for service parts - so spark plugs etc but sadly not stuff like damaged fairings. Fortunately a lot of VFR parts are used on other Honda models which are still on sale.

Yup, not in stock and discontinued are totally different terms.
Being in the industry for nearly 30 years, certain that no dealer is going to stock body parts for a bike that has been out of production in the USA for a decade. And especially not for a low volume seller as the VFR was. Most won't stock body parts for current model bikes.
Dealers ( online and especially brick and mortar) are going to just special order from Honda, Yamaha, whoever and have it shipped in.
