Ok, i did a compression test on my fv500 interceptor an got100, 125 on rear cylinders 140 on both front cylinders(dry test)did a wet test and got about 170 on front cylinders rear cylinders improved very little,i think it needs rings:frown: Where do start, i want install all parts my self to save labor, can i just do the rear rings& leave the front alone (i did this years ago on a twin cylinder but forgot how to do this)and where is the best place a re ring kit o-r can i just put hotter plugs in
Was the engine warmed up? If not then you have plenty of compression for it to run. The rear cylinders run hotter than the front so there will be more clearance when cold.
