One of the other threads (Introductions) got me thinking because she talked about wanting to ride again before she got too old. xShadowrider chimed in and said he was 60. SO, WHO IS THE OLDEST MEMBER HERE? I am 48 so Xshadowrider sure beats me. Remember, it is a good thing to have the experience of life. Jump in...

I think I am like 3.4 in dog years. Just a wee lad. Sometimes I get weirded out cause most everyone here is 2x my age or near that, but then I think, well, many here are faster, wackier, and probably better than me in twisties, it seems age isnt much of a factor!

So far, xShadowrider is the man. My neighbor across the street has 3 Hondas...the smallest is a ST1300. He must be at least 65...I know there are plenty of wise gents out there...

62 and can still ride my CBR1000RR without too much pain. The Gen 6 is much more comfortable, though.

    How old?

    Junior member reporting!
I'm 63, 64 in April for the next riding season..
Riding legally since age 16. Seems like only yesterday I experienced that great thrill. Still have a smile on my face.
It seems to me some of us "junior" members aren't quite as vocal or as opinionated as the some of the babes! Too busy smiling!!

Man with mind like steel trap should consider keeping trap shut! Confucious?

I'm a mere infant of 52, seeking the knowledge of those who have survived longer than I.

Excellent...keep it up folks! And that is a good point...are the younger/less experienced riders more or less inclined to have and express their opinions? Many times, experience teaches us that it is not always appropriate to blurt out our opinions.

I will be 52 this year and I am still riding - I ride year round and I am getting ready to head out to Boston from NYC. I atrribute my riding longetivity to exercise and staying in shape - and good teachers. I still play tournment basketball with guys half my age and I also keep in shape fencing. Also, stretching is very important.

I am 58 and been riding since 1965. First bike was a Honda CB50,When I
was 16 me and two buddies with similar bikes rode from Valley Forge,Pa to the shore in Stone Harbor NJ. Thats about 115 miles each way.Back then not many bikes on the road, people would give us a double take because they
were used to seeing only Big Harleys,so they really didnt know what to make of us. Anyway I sure have fond recolections of that trip. We were all very new to bikes and riding. At that young age 115 miles from home seemed like a million. eddie

Just turned 46 last week. Started making the little noises a few years ago when I sit down or stand or bend (uhnn, sigh, grunt, etc. ) but I still feel about 25 in my head. The bike keeps me feelin' young.
