Will 6th Gen pegs fit 5th gen?

Does anyone have experience putting 6th gen pegs only (not entire rearset/bracket) on a 5th gen?



From my eye, the peg size looks about the same but I would like verification from someone with experience.

Yes.

I recall an R3 incident quite a while back when Reggie's VFR became a parts donor, kindly assisting a fallen rider with the "loan" of pegs from his 6th gen to fix a 5th Gen which shed various bits when it left the tarmac, disappeared into long grass and then came to rest with a forward roll into a ditch during a training accident at Twenty Nine Pines. I have a feeling someone has that spectacular manoeuvre on video.

Anyway the pegs seemed to fit perfectly, and after some field plastic welding the 5th/6th gen hybrid was patched up enough for the ride home.

Whether Reggie ever found out is a different question.
