Any of you northerners have any winter riding tips on how to stay warm? I use to commute in the winter and don't remember it bothering me, but I was a lot younger then and my commute was like 5 miles. My commute now is 40 minutes one way and by halfway, I'm usually freezing:smow:. Keep in mind that it's only been in the low 40's here lately, but I'm still freezing. I get lots of cold air coming in the bottom of my helmet around my neck and also up my pants legs(I wear riding boots, jacket and gloves, but no riding pants). Do they sell winter riding pants that go on over your regular pants? Any info or tips would be greatly appreciated, as I really don't want to park my baby for the winter.

Wearing a neck gaitor or helmet skirt will reduce the cold air from getting up in the neck area. Yes they make overpants that slide on top of your regular pants, some with an inner cuff that you can tuck inside your boot to keep air out down there.

Get a one piece insulated riding suit and wear a balaclava on your head.
