I have a 1998 vfr800 with 168000 kms on it. Since i owned it i have changed the stator 6 time and the r/r 4 times. Then i was getting a short in right head light and the right signal. So, i ran a ground wire from the frame to the ground on the right signal. It worked for a while but i burnt out another stator... So, I went on Ebay to look for a newer wiring harness. I found one for a 2000 vfr800 and i wrote to the guy to see if it would on my bike... he said yes.. And i bought it. My question is will the stator, r/r, pgm-fi unit, ign switch work from my 1998 on the 2000 wiring harness? because there are extra plugs i have no idea what they are for. thanks
