I've been looking for a like-new VFR after test-riding a 2009 model this past weekend. I love the smooth power, and the riding position seems to fit my 55+ body and 6'2" height better than the Guzzi V11 Sport Copa Italia I will be selling.

Are there any changes at all in the model years from 2006--2009? I am looking at the best deal among these years. Any advice would be appreciated as I am new to the VFR line. Thanks in advance for your comments on these years' differences.

:welcome: to our little world D

2006 and 2009 are the same so depend on the mileage and condition of the bike. If I can find me an 2006 with low mileage I would take the 06 so the insurance would be lower. But if I find an 2009 low price I will jumb on it too. I have seen 2006 for 4k to 6k depend on the condition and mods
Good luck with your hunt, hope to see you back with a VFR

Color is the only difference between the years. Gunslinger Grey is the fastest. Don't let any of these guy tell you any different. :first:

I'm partial to the '09 with it's black frame and midnight black color scheme. Other than the '07 RWB, the other model years have the bare aluminum frame. Scuba has a point though, older model might cost less to insure.

    2002 - 2009 model Honda VFR800 Interceptor

Not sure if the US models had the recall affecting some 2007 models - may have been just European models. The real choice over the whole period is ABS or no ABS. On used models, the price difference is fairly minimal, and for me its a no brainer - as I am still alive thanks to Mr Honda's ABS system!:thumb:
