I thought they stopped making the 8th gen long ago but it looks like there's gonna be a 2017 model :peaceful: I saw that Andrearonin just posted this vid taken at the EICMA show in the other forum:

Stopped by my dealer today and they have the new CBR650's in Matte Black Metallic. Just what you need, a stealth motorcycle! The gray VFR800 doesn't excite me, mine is red, but always liked the white the best.

I am always looking at what bikes are on the road in my part of the world. Harley's, and Wingers are about 90-95% of what I see. Adventure type bikes make up most of what's left. It's rare to see a sport bike or a standard.

Right now Adventure Bikes are hot. Personally, I don't get it.

Of the new bikes I've see, I still like that Ducati 939 Super Sport.

Adventure bikes - just like Jeep owners, 95% of them will only see pavement.

And the 5% of jeep owners that go off road into the wilderness are never seen again after their jeep breaks down outside of cellphone coverage

Maybe we should start making bottled mud that can be sprayed onto Jeeps/ adventure bikes to give them that actually used off road look

My Italian is a bit rusty but roughly translated he said the gray is a nice new color but the Pearl White paint is still the most beautiful paint job he's ever seen. He also said he's glad to see production of the 8th gen is continuing because it's by far the best gen VFR in his humble expert bike reviewer opinion. I ran this translation by Italian-American Joe Montana (who I met earlier tonight at a charity event - super cool guy!) and he confirmed the accuracy of my translation :congratulatory:

I recently looked at Cycle Trader and found a lot of 2014-2015 white bikes selling at $8,999 or above. Both F model and some deluxe. When I bought my bike in May only the red bikes where on sale and not the white on Cycle trader, You had to order the Pearl white at the $9,999 price from the dealers to get it for you (and that was from California to Wisconsin I called on everyone). Most of those bikes where in Wisconsin and red F models that had a dealer coop to buy in bulk and discount them. I think that most dealers in 2014 thought the Honda red would outsell the pearl white and ordered the red bikes for the floor!

But, you have to love the flat orange-red if you got it around $7000 price tag or even close to $8000 this year. I think that if they do release a 2017 VFR 800 gray, it will be our bike with a shitty compromised exhaust from the 2014-2015 and nothing more other than the 12v accessory! OH YEAH. I bet the price is still around the $12,999 price in 2014! I will have mine resprayed for $1100 U.S in a awe dropping candy red like the 2010 VFR 1200 when I can! ;-)

This might be a good time to get in the VFR (and others) slip-on exhaust business. It there an ugly contest going on?

The Grey doesn't look too bad, more of a silver than a grey. Glad I grabbed a White though!

Actually, I usually see most Jeep's being sprayed in fire extinguisher foam. :kaboom:

CJMajesty recently posted a link to this vid on the other forum which gives a better look - I think I'll keep my pearl white :sneakiness:

Honda's Australian website now has the 2017 model listed:

    http://motorcycles.honda.com.au/Sports_Touring/VFR800F

"...for 2017 a revised exhaust system and addition of a STD Power socket."

I just noticed that the frame on the 2017 is now black instead of silver. I like the old silver frame much better - imo it gives the bike a more upscale look. I notice that on the Fireblade lately Honda only seems to use the silver frame on the Repsol and SP versions while they give the base models the black frames.

I agree, if the bike is going to be red have it a killer candy apple red like yours and the 1200. I like the red on the 2014 but flat colors are not for me I need a metallic color of white or red. I also like that your bike has silver wheels. I do not get the bronze or gold color with red. I like it on the white though. I have two options down the road and that is a re-spray of the bike or powder coating the wheels. I probably with go with the wheels until a few more years on the bike due to cost and not like taking off a factory spray on the bike that is pristine.
