As the title invokes, anyone in the know, know what's going on with having a 2017 photo shoot contest? Obviously it's to late to have them available for Christmas. But still time before the new year arrives...Maybe ? Or did I miss the thread a while back?

could have done that yesterday or this morning, most now has evaporated, still colder than all get out though. I like your thinking, if it would only be just right, yea I'd do it....not my first rodeo. ;)

Due to very low interest (and sales of calendars) the last couple of years, the consensus was to forgo the calendar. This position could change, however, there would have to be significant renewed interest in buying one. The release would also be a pushed into January due to how far we are past the typical submission deadline.

    Or K&N filters.

But seriously though. Are Harleys really that bad/ I know I slam them a fair bit too because simply put, I don't like them. The are loud and obnoxious for the most part but I will admit, a lot of that is operator issues. Actually, I don't care for any of the cruisers. Just not my preferred blend.

The oldtimers did leak a lot. JDs of all types, K models, knuckleheads, panheads ect. The newer bikes (post AMF) leak less due to improved design, tooling metallurgy ect. Most of the "leakage" on the newer models is seepage around the pushrod seals for the most part.

Some bikes including some real early HD speedway bikes were made to "leak" via a total loss oiling system. HD racebikes are vastly different than their street machines and the riders included.. This going back the the pre 1920 with the HD "Wrecking Crews" riding full litre twins in oval track events as long as 100 miles. Pix of this on Utube..

I remember General Motors cars and trucks used to be infamous for oil leaks. My 71 Lemans was horrid. But I bought that used. My 92 S10 Jimmy was tight and never a drop in the 11 years I drove it. So far with my Sierra Duramax there hasn't been a drop on the driveway since I bought it new back in 03. Except when I change the oil. The fucking skid plate is a bitch to work around and a lot of the oil drains onto the plate before it drains into the pan. Think next time I will just remove that skid plate. Only 4 bolts. Maybe I will leave it off. O don't do much off roading with the truck. Not intentionally anyway.

Oil deposits have been discovered all over the world at one time or another and every one of those dates fall somewhere within the calendar or years past.

I would like to see the calendar come back but I seriously doubt that Michael get very much on the sale of these calendars. The producer of these things leave a little to be desired too. I did not get mine until mid January last year.

Ain't no VFR calendars this year. The Harley calendars are good for all 12 months.
