JL definitely saved it on his knee. I wonder what would have happened if he did not have that moment. Would he really have raced Dovi for the win?

He admitted in a post race interview that had it been someone other than Dovi he would have tried to at least battle it out to the end.

Just finished watching last race of the year for WSBK, yet another record for Rae, most points in a single season...556 points!
Colin Edwards 2002 record has been broken. Rae was just phenomenal these past few years but this year even more so!

Nick Harris, the legendary voice of MotoGP retires after Valencia this weekend. I don't think I've watched a race without his voice announcing it. It just won't be the same without him.

also Julian Ryder is retiring after this weekends round as well, major bummer as far as I am concerned, he was good on Eurosport with Toby Moody (now PR for KTM),he said that the travelling was getting too much for him as he 'has other things to do'

They did a nice tribute for him at the opening press conference. Like you said, he was “the voice”of MotoGP for as long as I can remember too. Hopefully this weekend will be another “master class” held by MM! Although JL looks like he finally found what’s been missing all year. Not a huge JL fan but it would really be something to see, if he took top step on the podium this weekend.

I was busy doing corner work all day for the CSS last class of the year. I wish I could say I was
Yeah, I was out at Vegas Motor Speedway all day yesterday doing corner work for CSS, I did catch the race at 5 AM though. Can't believe how this season unfolded and ended! I don't think even Hollywood could have scripted all that transpired in this season, particularly this race!

And just like that, it's done. Winter is now here officially and it will now be 5 months of darkness and silence.

Honestly though, it was similar to a repeat of the end of last year, with the two contenders crashing and handing over the championship...

Um, this is NOT the spoiler thread...But since the cat is out of the bag, it was actually MM's title to lose and only MM crashing out would have an effect on the title.

Alex Rinns had a great run to close out his season. Rinns never says too much, just gets on with the job. Good to see him coming back into some decent form after two big injuries, the last being his wrist at Austin. 3 out of the last four were top tens, two of those being top 5's. Wanted to see Luthi on the big bike, but I will settle for Franco on the Mark VDS Honda, would also like to see Miguel Olivera do a run out on the big ktm.

Testing starts tomorrow...also interested in seeing the new yamaha...the '17 was junk at the end of the year.

You mean the "old Yamaha"? Since they raced this weekend and will start testing with the 2016 chassis, having completely scrapped the 2017... 2018 is supposed to be an "evolution" of the 2016, because as good as it was, it couldn't make the tire last until the end, so they'll need to fix that...

I'm looking forward to that too, and Zarco at KTM in 2019...

Not to mention Suzuki with concessions again...

Looks like the fastest times at testing yesterday were on the 2017 frame.
