Yeah... If he's gonna do high-speed wheelies on the freeway.

If you read the comments below the video (on YouTube where this guy first posted the video, see Hammy Moto on YouTube) you'll see that a lot of people are suspicious of what was probably going on just prior to the crash.

The rider (on his 2012 Kawasaki Z1000) was almost certainly doing a high-speed wheelie in the moments before the video footage begins. If you've ever wasted a couple of hours watching YouTube video of motorcycle crashes you'll be very familiar with the scenario.

When you wheelie a motorcycle at low speed the landing angle of the front wheel combined with the change in steering geometry caused by fork compression during the wheelie-landing isn't dangerous. But when you wheelie a motorcycle at high speed there is a much greater chance of disaster.

I think it's kinda funny that he thought he could edit out the moments prior to the crash without people knowing right away how the speed-wobble got started.

Good catch, I didn’t take the time check youtube. Now I see the pattern. I don’t do wheelies (intentionally). Lucky jerk
