:-/Hi All. I'm a new viffer from Downunder. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to change fork oil on my '86 VFR 700 without the need to remove them from the yolks. I can't seem to find anything in my manuals. I don't have a centre stand nor am I in the posession of service stands, so having to remove the forks would be a mission I'd like to avoid.

    Thanks.

    Howdy,

My local shop replaced the oil and springs in my forks without pulling them. I'm guessing some kind of vacuum is used to suck the oil out of the fork from the top since there is no drain on the bottom (how hard could that have been for Honda to add? >:( ) You will still want the bike sitting upright and level as if it were on a centerstand. I have hung my bike from the ceiling with straps hooked under the triple clamp with good results. Just make sure whatever you attach the straps to on the ceiling is capable of holding a few hundred pounds!!

    Adios,
