Headlight problems

Left work today got behind a van and notice my headlights are out.out:
Signal light are working. Turn the corner the stop a the next lights, then I notice my headlight are working.
Flipped the high beam on then the headlight went out.
Flipped high beams off.Waited about 30 sec. the light came back on.

So I'm thinking it must be the headlight relay.

Has anybody had the same problem?

I had a similar problem on my 87 700. It turned out to be a sticky starter switch that wasn't coming back out enough to let the headlight come back on. A little lube and it was good to go. That's an easy place to start looking. Hope it's that simple for you. Good luck.

I just move the starter switch around and the headlight came on.

 

Speaking of headlight problems, I have an intermittent issue with my 5th gen. I also think it might be a relay sticking. When I switch from lo to high beam, my headlight will go out for 1-3 sec. and then come back on. Same problem if I switch from high to lo. Any ideas????:crazy:

 

I'm having a similar problem. My lo-beams work fine, however when I switch to hi-beams the lights go out. Then out of nowhere they will come on for a day or two and then go back out for a while. I've changed the bulbs and still the same issue. I have a 94VFR750.
