Hey gang, newbie here, I just bought a used 2014 deluxe, all stock and only 3k miles.

Regarding the oem Honda side cases can somebody tell me the inside length/width dimensions? I know they're smaller (29 liters??) but what I can't seem to find with my google kung fu is the actual inside dims... I have a laptop sleeve that is 10x14, I'm trying to determine if this will fit in the Honda side cases or not before I order them, can anyone tell me or better yet post a pic with the side case open and a tape measure or ruler in the photo? I would need the measurement to take into account the rounded corners, not just max width/height measurements if that makes sense... o_O

I'm also curious about seat options, it doesn't appear that there are any off the shelf options for this gen, is that true? I had a Sargent on my 06 Viffer that I use to have about 9 years ago, but I called Sargent and they said they could build one but don't have anything off the shelf ready to buy... ??

My 3rd question is regarding windscreen, what is the preferred one most folks are using and why?

Thanks in advance for any help! If there is any key info I should know about this gen please feel free to thread jack and bring me up to speed, I'm starting from scratch with knowledge on this gen, thx!

Here's a pic of the new toy, I'm looking forward to many great memories on it! :)

My 14" dell 7440 has a hard time fitting in the side cases, so I'm betting the 15" you are trying to put in there (that's what I think when you say 10x14 sleeve) might have an issue. Looking at the plants in the background of your picture I don't think you are in my area. I'll take a picture in any case.

The stock seat and windscreen are great -why change? Too tall for the screen right now? I see you have the seat in the low position...

Looks like a good buy, the exhaust is just starting to change color, always a plus if only in my head

I'm 6'2" and with the seat in the high position I fitted a Puig double bubble screen, which has raised the wind up off my chest and makes the bike feel more stable at high speed

A pic of the side case measurements would be great, thx!

As for location, I'm in the PNW, Portland Oregon.

I'm still in research mode for shield and seat, just trying to identify options at this point, TBD on if I'd change them or not...

Ya in that pic I had the seat in the low position, I ended up putting it in the high position thought after a couple rides because if felt almost too low and I was scuffing toes of boots coming up to stop lights, but yesterday I got new rubber put on, I went with the PR4's, for the rear I went up in height to the 55 so maybe now I can move it back down to the low position??

Thanks, I feel good about the buy, got it for a great price! :)

Does the oem exhaust can change color over time? Any pics of what it looks like after changing color?

Thanks for the feedback on the Puig, I saw those on revzilla but seems that's the only one I've found so far.

Got mine used back in Dec 14, paid more than $6k!, but had cases and quick shifter (absolutely love it). I started with 2600 miles, now have 18K. I don't have a problem with the seat, had a Sargent on my 03 before, but did think I needed it on this one. I did get the Knight Design lowering pegs because I am older and they are easier on my knees.

Make sure you can get a hold of the nubs that bolt on to the rear passenger pegs before you order the cases.

    Hi Viffer J,

My 12" tablet fits fine inside the OEM panniers. I have changed the windscreen to a Puig Touring screen and it works great for my size / riding position. Enjoy the bike, it's awesome!

I set my suspension to the Dave Moss settings, transformed the bike and haven't touched it since

Can't help with cases because I'm a tankbag-only guy, but at 5'10" standard screen is fine. No Sargent seat yet, which is disappointing.

I scratched the hell out of my CBR600's tank with a magnetic tank bag, I use Bagster/Baglux now, have done on all my VFRs.

    Hi there!

Congrats on the puchase. I've got a white 2014 Deluxe as well with the OEM side cases. I can fit my 14" Dell 7440 with a soft neopremne sleve. Sorry, don't have exact dimensions.

As for screen, I fitted a Powerbronze Airflow (Double Bubble) with a light tint. Has the VFR logo on it and I really like it.

Ya, great shop and great crew! Their builds are really awesome! I've been friends with Eric for 25+ years since back when we were hooligan teenagers, we had a blast riding street back in the day!

This milf I was enjoying the fine company of in their waiting area while they mounted up some PR4's on the Viffer, this is a beautiful build, the full Yosh was hand built in Japan for this bike, very clean and such a classic! I had a couple of these back in the day, not too many clean survivors out there like this one.
