Hey guys, I have been working on my 1999 VFR and have been attempting to get it started. I changed the spark plugs and cleaned out gas. I purchased a new air intake and bled the brakes. The bike will not start. We shot some ether into the intake and it would only burn it off, no fuel would get inside. So I pulled off the throttle bodies to get to the injectors. I ran power to the injectors and only two of them would click (I just ordered a full set of OEM injectors). When we tried to start up the bike it would make a knocking sound coming from the engine. I am wondering once I put in the new fuel injectors if the knock would go away or if I have another issue on my hand. I know this is a long shot but I am not a mechanic and I don't have money to take the bike to a shop.

    Thanks!

We need a little more than this - lol.

    When was it last ridden?

    Does the engine turn over?

    Do you have spark?

Can you smell fuel from the exhaust?

    Is your fuel pump working?

It sat in the driveway for two years without being ridden (Utah conditions). It does turn over. I do have spark. I don't believe I can smell fuel from the exhaust. Fuel pump primes every time the key is turned.

Utah winter? Outside? Check your antifreeze. You could have a frozen and busted water jacket.
