Fallorado

 

A very nice campsite in the North cascades taken with cool shadows at sunrise.

 

Same morning looking at Mt Shucksan.

 

The glow in the bottom right is Seattle over 100 miles away. Light pollution.

 

Sometimes you just get lucky. I look for lighting that can be dramatic before and after storms.
This is in the Tetons.

 

The above was after a storm and this one is before a storm.

 

This one reminds me of one I took on the first evening of our honeymoon. I had no idea until I saw it later the effect with the sun.

Found an old photo of me in the Bugaboo's Canada rappelling off a climb after snow moved in quickly out of nowhere.

 

Night shot of camp, red headlight lit the tent from the inside and another headlight painted the bushes and tree with light.

 

This one has a meteor from the Perseids meteor shower in it.

 

Well, that ain't no pic from a phone. How long is the shutter open to get that many stars to show up?

 

That was shot at 28mm and you can do about a 30 second exposure at that focal length without the stars blurring badly. Can't remember how high I had to crank the Iso, probably 4000 or more and wide open at 2.8. Canon 5D MkIV.

 

My daughter returning back from the summit of Longs peak, Co.

 

Rapelling down off of Wolfs Head in the Cirque of the Towers, Wind Rivers Wyoming. This area is beautiful and a big mountaineering spot but even if you don't climb I highly suggest a hike back into there. The lake is full of trout too.

I repelled in the Seabees. Good fun! First time I jumped off a building backwards was literally a leap of faith!

 

My other passion is wandering in the the wilderness.
I'm starting to run out of walking partners, nobody seems to be interested on going off radar for a few days.
This photo was taken on the top of Kanangra Walls on our way to a 4 day trek throught the Wild Dog mountains.
