Sounds like your mechanical skills are up to par. How bout your confidence level with that dealer? I'd be on AmFams ass for a new front wheel and tire and a warning to any and all AmFam customers to steer clear of Sun. Faring clips? Good Lord! What a gaggle of fuckups..

Don't pull your punches BB. Let us know what you really think.
These sort of wishy washy comments leave the reader somewhat bemused.

Damn, I should have included me gram's recipe for Kimchee Ice Cream just to round oot the post..

The dealer has a website. All sorts of complaints and the usual "we are professionals" responses from their PR dude. AMFAM is good as insurers go. A bunch depends on the agent. Like anything else there are good ones and not so good ones. I had two that were great, the latest dude "delegates".

I may have been de-mused as a child..

Are you going to get the wheel fixed or replaced or let it go?

I am very comfortable in the shop. Ive been a mechanic (Honda cars) and an instructor for the last 26 years. I did get money for the damaged wheel but for now I will hold onto it . It is notbent, just some chips in the powder coat. I have a friend who runs a polish shop so when he slows down in the winter I will dismount both my wheels and have them polished and clearcoated. As for Sun Honda, they have heard my opinion on the matter and will never see another penny from me. If anyone asks they will get an earful from me as well. Now its time to ride and enjoy the bike, as long as it stops hailing in the afternoon. Damn! Almost got caught in it today.

Sounds like the Polish guy is a better bet than Sun.. ;)

I'm sure the "change the wheel colors" guys will be chimping in before the next snowfall.
