I am trying to figure out what carb gaskets to order for my VF.

    Frame: JH2SC150
    Engine: SC16E

What I can determine is that the engine came out of a 1985 VF1000R. But how do I tell which carb setup I have? or are both the same for the "F" & "R" engine?

Well what I have found with the help of this site (http://improvelife.info/v65/model.htm), the VD72A carbs are from the factory 1000F engine.
Last question, Where is a good place to get gasket/rebuild kits?

Many 1st gen V4 owners get their stuff strictly from here. I do.

His kits come with the coolant crossover tube o-rings that should be replaced while the carb rack is out. It's cheap insurance. Nothing worse than having to pull the carbs again after a leak is found from those problem areas. You can get the kit that fits your level of overhaul or budget. I get the Super Kit 2, can't go wrong with all that's included for $25 a carb. You might source out all the parts individually cheaper but time is money and he's done it all for you.
