    Hello All,

Looking to replace the chain and sprockets on my 93 VFR 750. I'd like to replace the front sprocket with the OEM unit as people seem to like the rubber damping. The problem I'm having is I would like to run a 17t up front and Honda only lists a 16t for my model and year. Will a 17t front sprocket off something like a 2000 VFR 800 fit my 750?

    Thanks,
    Scott

It should, but while at it, really mix it up by installing a 520. just saying..

That's what I've been hearing... If I give it a go I'll let you know how it goes. I'm only commuting so the possibility of another mpg or two is tempting.

Just out of curiosity, why are you looking to go +1 on the front?

To keep the rpms down on the freeway. It's what came on the bike so I'm used to it and for my riding style I've never felt the lack power or had issues stalling.

If you can't find an OEM front in +1, maybe just go for -3 in the rear. It'll get you the same result.

I saw that site mentioned in another thread and you're right it's super helpful. I'm not even mad I've forgotten how to do all that math, lol.

I've decided to pull the trigger on the 800 17t. Same number of splines on both the 750 and 800, same size mounting bolt and washer, even the same size countershaft oil seal. Should be here by this weekend and I'll let you know if it fits.
