Finally moved to Nor Cal/ Bay Area. Went for a nice little stint up Skyline. Great to back on those twisty, technical (and bumpy!) SC mountain roads! And Aurora just turned over 25,000 miles today! No neat pictures today, but I did see this about a month ago at Alice's restaurant.

Installed my new Zero Gravity double bubble screen today after many years debating the merit.
I have to say I love it.
For me and my helmet it works perfectly, I can now ride with visor up until 120kmh.

Tested out my 8-spoke back wheel with a 250km non-stop run through the spring sunshine. I think it unleashes all of the full factory potential of the VFR, easily good for another 20 rear wheel hp, 15 km/hr higher top speed and another 5 degrees of lean...

The wheel came with a fairly lightly used PR4, which seemed to play well with the Roadtec 01 on the front. Still undecided whether to repaint white, or silver to match the front, or get my front wheel painted to match. The 8-spoke is already in much nicer condition than my old wheels...

Also got out on the VFR1100ST yesterday for a 380km non stop run, also fabulous in its own way, but it is eating the T30 Evo back tyre, the wear bars have gone after 3500km...

Good find Terry, I'd get the front to match as well.
I used to think silver looked better, but now think black or very dark grey looks the best.

I think a lighter color would be more visible, the black just fades from sight.

I sucked the mud out of the clutch line. I replaced the fluid that was in the res, so the wonderful color you see here is all from that little bit.

Some one here said , I give you 10 days before you're back on.. LOL made it to 9. But man on one note, it felt great to be out, especially with the weather we're having. On the other side of the coin, man, I was surprised it didn't bother me more, leaning actually help take the stress off the chest, then the tilt forward, though not extreme, also made my hips feel all right :) Istill ache like nothing else, but this felt good.

This is what I did to my VFR today. No, I wasn't trying to scrape my knee puck. Not really sure at all what happened. Sore left shoulder, but otherwise in great shape. My Sedici gear worked great.

I want to give a really big public thank you to Duccmann for coming out and helping me get towed home. He went above and beyond. Also to BWEISS for his offer of help.

I'm good. Left shoulder is sore from hitting the ground. The bike needs work, obviously. It will ride again though.

Lint, sorry to hear about your tumble. Sounds like an opportunity for some upgrades now.

Well done to you two guys who helped him out also. I'll drink a beer in your honour tonight.

I may. The next tires going on my bike are going to most likely be Q3+ or S21, the latter of which I can get for $89/$99 front/rear, $15 install.
I've always run sport touring for longevity, but yesterday cured that. Maybe an S21 front T30 Evo rear. I'm definitely going grippier up front. Hell, Super Corsa 2, hahahaha.

One thing I did do before setting out yesterday, that may or may not have contributed to the fall, was raise my front tire pressure to 36psi, to get more life, whereas I usually run no more than 34. The bike says 36/42, but I wish I'd stayed at 34. Would this have made a difference, I just don't know. Maybe, maybe not... Certainly, the tires had ample time to warm up.

I personally use 36/42 on my bikes. The front on ST tires of various types have been.. squirly at times. I am also considering a Sport front and ST rear. Possibly S21 up front and T30 EVOs on rear.

Good luck mending the bike and yourself. Hope you're back up in no time.
