Iconic acquired this bike as a non-running project so we could source some parts for a client’s bike that needed service work. We are passing it along in the hopes that someone else may need this to keep their F2 going or that someone else might want to bring it back to life!

Hey Bazza, I wound up buying it. I have a really nice 86 with no title so I really just bought it for the title. Thanks for posting it on here, otherwise I probably wouldn't have seen it!

 

Wow - congrats, James! Curious what the transport is going to be from coast to coast.

I got one recently from AZ that was around $1,400.....ouch!

The fact that this one only cost you $550 helps.

Congrats again - looks like a decent one to rebuild!

 

Yeah the transport sucks but I just considered it the cost of doing business! It's $1075 shipped to MD, I let Iconic Handle the shipping.

 

That's about what I figured. They do a good job though so there's that.

You know, they have a tank that came off a bike they did work on in their service bay - last time I saw it - it was sitting on the lift table in Steve's (The Professor's) station. In fact, he's the one that did the work on the bike your tank went to. The tank they removed was still there. I'm assuming it is not in very good condition - but the exterior looks OK. You may want to inquire and see if they will throw it in with the deal. It could be salvageable.
