It's my privilege to call you a friend, commendatore !

Yes, i'm just another old guy who never rode a motorcycle before he was 44 then went in over the top and started collecting old bikes that have nowhere to ride legally after they pull 3rd gear. Che' bella maccina, si, but your Vespa makes more sense in a crowded city, yes ??

      Hi Carmine,

As always, it was good to hear from you. Yes, sometimes our sence of humour over here in North America sort of boggles up the reasoning around the english language but as you have noticed, it also help to find an understanding of our slang. I think English is probably one of the most bastardized languages out there. With all the quirks in this language, a person who learns and fully understands all that goes with it, is truly a talented person. Because most people born with an English Tongue, will have some difficulty keeping up with the pace when it comes to new meanings for old words.

Stay safe my friend. Oh and by the way. I see from one of your posts that you are older than me. That is a good thing....from my perspective anyways.

Carimne are you Italian or Sicilian by chance? Haven't heard your name since my cousin Carmine passed.

Yes I'M a fan of Renzo Pasolini, I'M a Sicilian American and in Italy and Sicily they take GP racing very very seriously. I liked REzo better than Ago really, Ago was great but alot of it was that MV Agusta... .

      Ciao,

      :cool:Hi Carmine

Come stai ? I haven't heard from you in a little while so thought I would send you a quick note. You will,I am sure,be very pleased to know that in preparation to our visit to Europe when the times are better, that I have started to learn to speak Italian. So by the time we get there I will be able to impress you with my knowledge of your wonderful language.
I will know all the difficult words like Ducati and Moto Guzzi etc.
Christine for my birthday got me a teach yourself language course and I am trying to get started.
The weather here is improving next month is start of Spring so lots of trips in weekends on the Viffer, we are going on a 300kms trip on Sunday with a group of Ducati owners so should be fun.
      Ciao il mia amico

Come stai? Thanks for your little note.Yes the little Honda that could is still chugging away on the mail run. They had a saying with the pony express in the Wild West days of the USA that the mail must get through but with me sometimes it is delivered a little soggy with all the terrible rain.We have had nearly 2 1/2 months of nearly continual rain and temps of around 8 degrees. If it goes on much longer I will deliver my mail in a kayak canoe.
Iam not keen on riding my dear little VFR in the bad weather so most weekends she is tucked up in her sleeping quarters in my garage where she can snuggle up to Biggles1 who is my VTR Firestorm. Both being Hondas they get on very well together and Biggles is not upset that the VFR gets so much attention as he understands that all VFRs are very special to their owners.
You are very lucky to have some holidays at this time, after 6 hours riding 5 days a week I would love to have a short break but our holidays are normally taken at Xmas time which is when our Summer is coming(I hope this year)
Christine is good she has a presentation being made to her next week to mark her 30th year in her job so very special occassion for her.
Always really great to hear from you my friend.
      A pui tarde

      Hi Carmine

Yes I'm still pedalling the little postie bike. Now mid winter here and riding all day in about 6 degrees with a wind chill facor of minus 2 is not a whole lot of fun but Spring is just over 2 months away so must be patient.
We a both well and Chris has just had 2 weeks holiday. She loves working in our garden so has been very busy but is a lot of enjoyment for her.
Our trip to Europe will not happen this year now,the very bad exchange rates would mean that we loose a lot of money so now maybe next year.Perhaps we can come and celebrate our 60th birthdays in Napoli with you guys.
Hope everything is 'mucho bello' with you guys.
Ciao and big bright lamps to you both.
      Pete.

      Hi Carmine

How are you guys? The weather here is terrible at the moment we are in the last month of our Autumn but it has turned very cold and wet.In these conditions riding all day for a job is starting to lose some of its fun aspect but unemploymennt figures are shotting ever higher every day so I must just grit my teeth and wait for Spring only 3 months away.Hope all in well in your camp.
Christine says Hi to you both.

Carmine, since the calendars are sold through CafePress (CafePress: Funny t-shirts, unique gifts, and custom t-shirts), I can't quote you an exact price. If you buy through something like Paypal, they will convert for you. At the current conversion rate, it's approximately 15.54 Euros. Hope this helps!

      Hi Carmine
Thanks for your message.Sorry to hear about the the dreaded rectifier problem,I havent had any problem like that with either bike yet.I had a great day at the racetrack last Saturday, weather not sogood very windy and trying to rain all day,but a great thrill to be riding flat out with no nasty policemen.
It is supposed to be last Spring here now but weather is still cold, about 12 or 13 degrees and very windy most days, hope to go riding tomorrow, have to vote today it is our general election day here in NZ.
Job is going very well they are good people and I am enjoying very much.
Hope all is good at your end.
      Lamps to you mate.
      Pete.
