Looking through this thread makes me sad about the state of my '95.
Front fender too, although a US spec white would look good as long as the base color of the rest is the same.
I hope you plan on a white wheel conversion too. The bronze US standard wouldn't do this justice.

Do yourself a favor and get one. I bought one in 1995 shortly after getting my '95 VFR. I sold it on e-bay for over half the original price...

As for black.... Plastidip, bed liner, powdercoat, etc. They came as-cast aluminum, and they are your canvas.
My '95 OEM chain lasted a looooooong time with good-ole 80-90 gear oil.
I thinks it's less about a fancy product and more about keeping it...
