The VFR has been my favorite bike for as long as I can remember. I've owned an old 86 vf750 and a 85 vf500...but never had the chance to own a the real deal VFR. What I consider the real deal is the gear driven cams and the single sided swingarm,LOL.

Recently I picked up a clean 1990 VFR750 in really good mechanical condition with a great service record. Too bad it was laid down and all the fairings are damaged....but it was cheap enough and I enjoy having a project to work on. Luckily the previous owner saved all of the damaged fairings that he had removed so I have something to work with.

    Some background on me:

I've worked in the automotive repair field for about 25 years, so I know my way around nuts and bolts and just about any 12v electrical system. I can't stand working on cars on my own time, since that's what I do all day. So I like to work on other things in my spare time, like motorcycles.

Thanks for having me...I hope I don't get to crazy with pathetic questions that have been answered 80,00 times already...I do try to use the search engines, but never seem to find the correct answers, lol.

Oh...here is a pic my wife took of me taking the bike home for the first time.
