So it's either the Candy Dark Red or Anniversary scheme. I've made a small list of pros/cons (imo) for each color.

    Anniversary:
Pros - anniversary scheme, black frame, stands out in crowd
Cons - +$500, black wheels like every other bike, non-uniform decal colors

    CDR:
Pros - -$500.00, gunmetal wheels, decals look good the way they are
Cons - silver frame area doesn't flow, plain color?

I know some of that is ridiculous, but I consider myself somewhat of a perfectionist, haha. I love both colors and I think that it may just come down to the money end. I have until tuesday before I place the order.

Here's an idea, buy a used RWB and use the extra money to buy a white 8 spoke wheel to put on the rear. Then powercoat the front to match. Member Toe Cutter has one of the sweetest looking RWB's I have ever seen.

Wow, sweet bike! Problem is there's no RWB around me that's used. I've been looking for a little while now and there is only one CDR around that I've ridden already but they're asking the same price that I could get a "new" one for.

If you're not totally drawn to the RWB, then the red is probably the way to go and it will save you some money. I'm partial to the RWB, but it sounds like you're not.

The question comes down to what can you live with for now and maybe modify later. Maybe you could get the Anniversary, then do something with the rims later. What would be the cheapest and easiest way to go as far as modifying what you don't like about either bike? Maybe that's the million $$$ question.

I kinda agree with stewart, ya either love the rwb or hate it. Most people seem to have strong feelings about mine one way or the other.
My daughter calls me captain america....:frown:

Are you sure you can still get the red? I ordered a new 2007 RWB W/ABS and matching saddle bags last Saturday and I was told by the dealer that the only 2007's available were RWB W/ or W/out ABS. My new ride showed up at the dealership this past Friday and I pick it up on Monday:smile:.

Personally I like the red better but I also think that it would look better with the black frame and wheels, that is just my opinion. I like both bikes the way they are also. If having the frame black is a big plus I say get the rwb, down the road if you decide to change colors it is much less labor intensive and less costly to get wheels powcercoated and fairings repainted than stripping a bike to the frame and having it powdercoated.

I bought my RWB (in Australia) because I got it for a steal as they didn't sell as well here.. but I am now glad I did.. and here in Oz, because they are not common, I get lots of looks and "nice bike mate" from strangers, while others on Red or Grey VFR's parked alongside, don't even get a second look

What color are your eyes? What colors do you usually choose when you buy underwear? Have you ever had a problem matching sox?

These are very important factors to consider when buying a bike.

I told a guy one day that I was a perfectionist, He told me he was anal. Never did find out the difference.

For about a grand you can have a custom paint job or for a few hundred pull off some of the bodywork and have some bitsas painted.
