The length of the extended fork is determined by the engagement of the end of the fork tube and the bottom end of the top out spring. The top out Spring can be compressed by the main Spring and make the assembled fork longer. If your preload on the main springs is different the total length can be a bit different. Once it is all bolted together the fork behaves as a single assembly so it doesn't have any effect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yep!!! That is what's doing it on mine. My bolt on the bottom of the fork needed to be tighter and was seeping, but none of that caused the thunk. F'ing linked brakes...
All Balls Bearings are fine. They are just rebranded. Been putting them in bikes forever. They just need to be installed square and not damaged on Install, properly Lubed and adjusted. Note the wimpy Honda Gen1 Ball Bearing Race,,.. pathetic. If you got Ball Bearing Stem bearings, get them Out!
Has anyone ever purchased American made tapered bearing for their bike? If you did can you let us know what model numbers you bought to match the Chinese "All Balls"? If anyone happens to have a "All Balls" set perhaps you can share the numbers that are on the bearings. Does anyone know is seals can be reused?
