My bike does not have one.
When the key is in the "run" position the headlights is on.
There is position/parking lights in the front, but they can not be on without the headlights?
Does it seem ok to you? 2003 model.

    Hans.

My headlights are on when the ignition is keyed on.

Yes, Honda Changed the right bar switches in 2003 so that it was lights on all the time. This was across most of the model ranges.

Both the running & high beams are supplied through separate relays mounted on the front subframe between the headlights - you need to remive the entire front cowl to get access. I hahe a switch mounted on the low power/control circuit. Having the headlights running when trying to start the bike on a low battery sucks!

I wanted to have the lights off until after engine start so I put in 2 h4 relay kits from Newbonneville.com that i ran jumpers from the H7 highs to that now have lights turn on when the high beam is flicked on. No load at engine start. You just have to remember to do it before riding or your dark till you do.
