I came across a full Erion Racing exhaust that looks interesting. But can't seem to find any information on it.

The headers look different from most systems I have seen. Instead of a collector box or a 4-2-1 with the front and rear cylinders joined with the one next to it, it is a 4-2-1 with one front and one rear cylinder joined in each pair before finally joining into a single outlet. Each of the two cylinder "sets" has a mounting hole for a O2 sensor.

Does anyone have any information on this or insight into the pros/cons of this layout?

If you decide you do not like it / want it I have a SERIOUS INTEREST. :)

Decided to buy it and picked it up last night.
It looks to be in perfect condition. Slightly gold as you would expect from stainless headers, but no damage. A quick clean and it will be like new. The end can has a couple of very light surface scratches, but nothing more than what you get from just handling. Clearly it's been cared for.

After a bit of haggling I got the headers and can for just under $150,-
Seems like a pretty good deal.

If I end up using it, I might shorten the can by about 7-8 inches, re-pack it and hit it with some Aluminium Black (basically gun blue for alu). Should look nice like that.

Still interested in getting some more info on these.

    No problem.

Can you provide any information on this thing? And the company that made it?
I simply can't find anything except a few vague mentions and something about them maybe having had something to do with Two Brothers, way back in the day.

From my memory banks, Erion was formed by one of the "Brothers" in the 2-Brothers company. Essentially you got a hell of deal! As part of the crew that has help produce a 2-Brothers "replica" header, your Erion headers are probably the closest thing to them. If you were not aware of the replica headers being built, check out this link.

BTW, here is Erion's web site, http://www.erionracing.com/ just like the 2-Brothers headers, the Erion headers have long been out of production. Prior to finding someone who would build the replica headers for us, 2-Bros, Erion and even Tyga were approached. Long story short, they either required a HUGE opening order or denied our request, the latter was just too busy at the time to take on another build.

Congratulations, you got one heck of a deal as the replicas are costing over $800 and that is without shipping!

    Um... score.

And with all that money you saved, I would wrap up that original muffler and modify another generic can. Seriously.

    Thanks for the info.
Erion is not exactly a known name on this side of the pond, but it's always nice to know a bit about your parts.
Two Brothers, on the other hand, I'm familiar with, even though they are not exactly popular here either. Probably just down to common availability I assume.

But it would seem I got a pretty good deal. Hopefully it will give a little bit more performance with a little less weight. The old girl is on a winter diet (about 16lbs so far, before factoring in exhaust, center stand and passenger pegs).

Not sure what I'll end up doing in the muffler department. I have 3 others in stock, but haven't decided what I want. I'll have to hear them all with the new headers first.
I actually like the how Erion looks. It's just a bit long for my taste.

I had an Erion Racing full exhaust on my '99 VFR800. Before and after dyno runs showed it brought the power up 10hp over stock. In comparison, a slip-on only gained 5hp. If you want to sell that Erion Racing exhaust I'd be happy to buy it.
