Does anyone have one they want to part with?

It goes here on a VF500F...front of the frame under the fuel tank.

Is it something you could cut yourself? If so, you can source quality sheets of rubber off Amazon for a couple bucks.

Try a fuel tank bumper from a Gen5?? I'll post a pic later and see if you can adapt.

I might have one I'll part with. I need to assess my inventory. Luckily these don't get lost as easy as the 86 VFR style.

No rush on that! I appreciate the effort. I have a lot of jobs to do before I need to mount the fuel tnk again.

I have tons of automotive bumpers and looked into modifying but this one has a molded curve in it that makes it tough. I have some old GSX650F rubber that was so close but no cigar.

Yeah, I used to have a VFR800FI and they do look similar if memory serves. Been a while though.

Gen5 VFR tank rubber for reference, if you look at the thin side, it clips over the edge of the tank and remains exposed. The thick part is under the tank and there's another curved piece glued to the tank, which is glued to the ribbed edge of the rubber (see residue on radius).. see part diagram....

Thanks for taking those pictures. Not sure that is going to work out of the box. The VF500 part is a right angle with close to the same thickness overall.
