Were your other carbs also vented to the plenum (long, oval, gold colored plate in the center of your second pic) and not atmosphere? That's basically what I'm verifying, but I would also like to know their numbers.

You mean the gold colored throttle plates ? If so no, those carbs were replaced with throttle bodies with the silver plates. All are silver plate.

No. In your second pic (post 116) looking down on the carbs in the center, 1 screw in it...

Oh that plate. The original carbs were just like that. They had the plate. Only one carb was replaced and its the same.

On another note. I'm about to install the coils but the spark plug caps are pretty bad. Wires too. Anyone know of where to source replacement caps or wires ?

I buy NGK caps and bulk NGK wire. But the wires are VERY resilient on Hondas. You can trim back about 1/8" and install new caps. The caps are available straight, bent and 90 degree.

Usually eBay or Amazon for me after figuring what I want and a thorough search for a good deal.

The caps are not like my other VF500. These are straight so it makes it easy. I'll look into what's available. Thanks Captain !

I found these on Amazon. Although they are automotive the caps look right and the length of the longest one is 30" which is what I need. Do they look ok to you Captain ?

Keep in mind that you will be eliminating the ends to the coil. I personally would make sure they are a stranded wire core like the originals.

Also, you may not want a straight cap on the front cylinders going straight into the radiator, but there may be plenty of room. I prefer the XD05F.

I have the wiring harness installed and most wiring complete. I need to wire the speedo gauge and it's components.

@rcthirty - this thread and your other thread make me sad and discouraged - because I realize how I will never get my own project to a state one thousandth as nice as you did yours!

wonderful work but I really should just pack up mine.
