Just did a cold start video. Did not give her any throttle until well into the warm up stage. Which is how you're supposed to do it anyway.

Seems to settle in at 1,200 RPMs. Gonna get a plate for her tomorrow and start riding her around a bit more before anymore fiddling with the idle.

I'm still on cloud 9 to have scored such a good condition example with such little fanfare!

Need to find a tank "bra" to go with the lift-and-support front bra.

    Quick update on this bike.

Since last update I found and installed a proper Pearl Crescent White fuel tank for her - much better!

This is also the bike that developed a problem with the starter motor clutch that fortunately was an easy fix.

    Thread:
    https://vfrworld.com/threads/starter-motor-clutch-repair-help.62854/

And today, I swapped out the carbs with a rebuilt & synced set I had on the shelf from Joe Nelson/V4 Dreams. The reason I did this is the engine wasn't running smooth under any kind of acceleration and I figured it had to be clogged carb jets.

I didn't want to mess with any carb cleaning today so just did the swap. I can clean the carbs now at my leisure. And it will only be the float bowls - nothing more needed! :)

I still have to reinstall the windscreen after it gets the Novus treatment and finish up the lower fairing repairs, which are almost done. All that will be done this weekend.

    Video and a few pics......

    Carbs from Joe......ooooo.......ahhhhh......:D
