stock jetting wont be best if youre not running original exhaust, too lean--inspect the air intake to te airbox tube to be sure that part of it is not blocked off--i believe i ran a dynojet kit on one of my vtrs not sure which

I should get a manual later this week. Part of the free gear in SoCal. The guy found a title for the frame and service manual and mailed it fo free.

Float height if anyone has easy access or I can wait until later this week.

 

WTF Honda? Put in a fuel cross tube, but blanked off the front carb connection. Lemme guess….Kalifornia.

pictured is the fuel cross tube Y, front fuel fill on the upper right, original fuel hose Y, and the blanked off large hole.

 

id suggest u replace those O-rings float height 9mm----------------------

Ahh thanks SM! 9mm for both it will be. I replaced the fuel T, pilot needle, and bowl drain O-rings from my stash. I need the bowl gasket at this point. Leakdown will provide more info. But tonight is bowl gasket order night.

yes, plug the tubes---the clear lines may not be safety- rated for fuel, not safe maybe ? will get brittle and could crack after some time -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------please dont ask me about a customer's yamaha V-something 950 that started burning under me on a test ride in around 1998---back when i worked at a shop ---glad it wasnt a honda--- total loss and my shoe was burning before i stepped off

hey wait a minit, i might be totally wrong about the clear tubes

 

New problem to me. Trying to remove lower fork bolt and the bolt and assembly would rotate with the drill bit. Spring did not provide enough pressure to hold the parts in place. So my wife pressed our 2.5’ breaker bar into the assembly minus the spring and spacers. Worked like a charm, but I had not come across this before. Still learning shit! Bolt head removed.

 

The ones you are asking about are both vacuum and need to be "plugged". But when I have two that need to be taken care of, I connect them with good vacuum line. I trust it over time/heat more than a plug.

EDIT: You have three vacuum apparently. I would connect the two with the bent spigots and plug the straight one.

Re forks: Right when I was about to remove the forks from the 90 for disassembly, I thought, "WAIT!" I reinstalled the fender as it has a built in "fork brace" to isolate the lowers and I tried the lower bolts. They both released like a drain plug. It was glorious.

I've had to drill quite a few. It doesn't even bother me anymore. The bottom of the hex area is shaped for the perfect center start and you can't really damage anything.
