Wow, that certainly would have sold well! But so did the regular, North America VR500. Very nice.
Were these ever sold somewhere in the world? I was under the impression that the F2 was around 1986, not at the start of the 500 run in 1984?...
+1 I had a new 1984 back then and I could never get it past 205 km/h (about 126 mph).
I put a set on my 919 last month. Incredible product for the price. Finish and quality are great and they work really well. They provide better...
Nice find Creaky. It's nice to have lot's of spare parts around and this engine seems like a good transplant candidate. One of the most fun...
This thread was a great read, right from day one. It was great to vicariously go through this process with you. Amazing stuff. I noticed that...
IC - this sounds interesting. Care to post some pics of the assembly? I'm curious how it would work.
Found the same thing on the dying 500 that became my project bike last year. Glad it ended up good for you two.
+1 to what was said above. Nice work and good to see you back at it.

It might be a good idea to check your oil to make sure no fuel leaked in. I know of a few 500's that bent rods by hydro-locking caused by fuel...
+1 to what everyone else said. Congrats.
I really wanted one of those back then when I was riding around my VF500. Those were the good old days for the two-strokes, at least up here in...
Others can correct me, but I don't think there are any significant parts (or perhaps none at all) that are interchangeable between the 700 and...
