Have you altered the wiring to the fuel pump relay at all?
Does the fuse fail with the pump disconnected?

You may want to inspect the connector to the relay squirrelman mentioned.
As Squirrlelman said the connection on the gen two was the weak link. I would not sweat it too much if the connector was not deep fat fried...
