Amps aren't supplied (pushed), they are pulled when needed.
I'll bite. Why not? Voltage is 12 regardless. Amps are pulled. I always jump from a running car...and without issue.
Have the battery load tested. Sounds like it has been mostly dead all day.

Ebay usually has buckets of bolts and stuff for nearly any bike. Try that...and maybe get some other cheap spares while you can?

I've never found much wrong inside of mine. Are yours dirty inside? I just push the cylinders out a bit on the bikes with a bucket underneath....
And be thorough about checking anything rubber.
