I think it is because you created a YouTube "Short", not a Video.
You have to host it somewhere (like uploading to YouTube), then you can use the "Share" button to get a link to embed. And good job.
I would expect the slots to be a Poka-yoke for assembly. Very Honda-esque. But I don't own that Gen, nor have I experimented switching around...
